General Insurance Association and Gyeonggi Province to Promote Support Projects for Climate-Vulnerable Groups
The General Insurance Social Contribution Council, Gyeonggi Province, and the Gyeonggi Environment and Energy Promotion Agency signed the 'Gyeonggi Province Climate Safety Network Strengthening Joint Cooperation Agreement' at Gyeonggi Provincial Government on July 8, 2025.
The signing ceremony was attended by Byungrae Lee, President of the General Insurance Association, Dongyeon Kim, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, and Hyeae Kim, President of the Gyeonggi Environment and Energy Promotion Agency.
This agreement was promoted in response to growing concerns about damages to Gyeonggi Province residents caused by climate change. The aim is to provide support to climate-vulnerable groups, who are particularly sensitive to heat waves and cold spells, and to enable public-private collaboration for an active response to the climate crisis.
