Architect Hyunjoon Yoo graduated from the Department of Architectural Engineering at Yonsei University, earned master's degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard, and is currently a professor at the College of Architecture and Urban Planning at Hongik University as well as the principal architect at Hyunjoon Yoo and Partners.
His books, including "What Do Cities Live By?" and "Where Will You Live?" have become bestsellers. He has also opened up new perspectives on understanding the world through cities and spaces by communicating with the public through various programs such as tvN's "Alssulsinjab Season 2" and KBS's "Myungkyunmanri."
Mayor Choi Kyungsik stated, "We expect this academy to be a meaningful opportunity to reflect on our lives and society through cities and spaces."
The Play Namwon Academy is open to everyone without prior reservation. By adding the Kakao Channel as a friend, participants can receive detailed lecture information every month. On the day of the lecture, it will also be broadcast live to local senior centers via IPTV.
