Namyang Dairy Products Launches 'Bulgarius Sugar-Free Plain'
60% Less Sugar Than Average Fermented Milk Products
Contains 24 Billion CFU of Patented Probiotics
Namyang Dairy Products announced on July 7 that it has launched 'Bulgarius Sugar-Free Plain', a plain fermented milk product. Targeted at health-conscious consumers in their 20s and 30s, this new product expands the company's line of sugar-free fermented milk, following the release of 'Bulgarius Plain Yogurt' in April.
'Bulgarius Sugar-Free Plain' contains no added sugar or sweeteners other than the lactose naturally present in milk. Each 150ml bottle contains 3.4g of sugar. This is about 60% less sugar compared to the average fermented milk product on the market, based on standards set by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. The product also features an enhanced formulation of essential minerals, including 24 billion CFU of live probiotic lactic acid bacteria, calcium for bone and tooth formation, and zinc to support normal immune function.
To celebrate the launch, Namyang Dairy Products is holding a consumer participation quiz event on its official Instagram channel until July 17. Consumers can enter by commenting on the quiz post with the number of probiotics contained in 'Bulgarius Sugar-Free Plain'. Ten winners will be selected by lottery to receive an eight-pack of Bulgarius Sugar-Free Plain.

A Namyang Dairy Products representative stated, "The launch of this new product is part of our strategy to reposition 'Bulgarius' as a younger and more generation-friendly brand." The representative added, "In May, we held a campus tasting event for 'Bulgarius Sugar-Free Plain' at Ewha Womans University, offering MZ generation consumers a natural product experience.
