External Power Restored, No Operational Issues Reported
It has been reported that external power supply to the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in southern Ukraine was temporarily cut off but has since been restored.
The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant authorities, which are under Russian control, announced on Telegram on the 4th (local time) that "power supply to the plant has been restored." They added that the emergency diesel generators have been shut down and that there are no issues with the plant's operation. The authorities also stated that radiation levels at the site remain normal.
Earlier, the plant authorities said, "Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant lost its external power supply due to the shutdown of a 750kV high-voltage transmission line," and added, "Power is being supplied by diesel generators, and an investigation is underway into the reason for the high-voltage line shutdown." The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) also announced on X (formerly Twitter) that "Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant has lost all external power as of 5:36 p.m. today and is relying on emergency diesel generators."
According to the IAEA, this is the ninth time the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant has lost external power since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, and the first such incident since the end of 2023.

The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, the largest single nuclear power plant in Europe, currently has all six of its reactors shut down. However, external power supply is essential for reactor cooling. The plant halted operation of all six reactors in March 2022, shortly after Russia launched its offensive in Ukraine, due to the risk of radioactive material leakage.
