This large-scale event, hosted by the Anti-Corruption Training Institute of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission and organized by Sejong City, was attended by more than 1,000 people, including Mayor Minho Choi of Sejong City, public officials, officials from related organizations, and citizens.
Before the main educational program, the event featured a traditional pansori performance, the Integrity Golden Bell quiz show, pop and Korean music performances by the Integrity Band, and the screening of an educational video on integrity.
In particular, the event broke away from the conventional lecture-style education and instead incorporated culture and the arts into integrity education, which received a very positive response from participants.
One attendee said, "I had the opportunity to enjoy various performances, naturally relate to the meaning of integrity, and strengthen my resolve to put it into practice."
The city's Audit Committee plans to expand ongoing citizen participation programs and integrity education for public officials to further spread a culture of integrity.
Mayor Minho Choi stated, "Integrity is not achieved through individual effort alone, but requires the joint efforts of both public officials and citizens," and added, "I hope that by sharing the value of integrity through education, we can build a clean and fair city together."
