On the afternoon of July 4, Park Gangsu, mayor of Mapo District in Seoul, visited Seonhyeongui Forest and Saeteosan, two major green spaces in the area, to check the progress of disinfection efforts and worked to minimize inconvenience to residents caused by 'Lovebugs'.

At the site, Mayor Park stated, "Even if Lovebugs are beneficial insects, the inconvenience experienced by residents is an issue that cannot be overlooked," adding, "We will continue to strengthen eco-friendly disinfection methods to ensure that Mapo residents can live with peace of mind."
