On July 4, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Kim Myungsoo visited the Capital Artillery Brigade to inspect its firepower readiness posture.
According to the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Chairman Kim visited the Cheonmu Brigade of the Capital Artillery Brigade on this day to inspect the on-site implementation of firepower readiness posture in preparation for enemy provocations and to encourage the service members. Chairman Kim instructed, "Maintain a firepower readiness posture focused on rapid response, based on thorough information analysis in coordination with higher-level units, and taking into account the complex operational environment."
Chairman Kim also observed the operation of the Cheonmu artillery assets, stating, "Firepower is the strength of combat power," and emphasized, "This strength will deter enemy provocations, and in the event of enemy action, ensure victory through precise strikes by thoroughly preparing for operations and training."
