Yangsan City Recruiting Participants for Second Half Public Work and Community Job Programs
Recruitment Expanded: 320 Public Work Positions and 22 Community Job Openings, Up from the First Half
Yangsan City in South Gyeongsang Province is recruiting participants for the "2025 Second Half Public Work and Community Job Program" to support the livelihood stability of vulnerable job seekers and contribute to local community development.
The purpose of this public job program is to provide public employment opportunities to vulnerable groups such as the unemployed and day laborers, thereby promoting both the livelihood stability of citizens and the creation of local jobs.
The public work program aims to support local economic recovery and the livelihoods of low-income groups, with a plan to recruit 320 people across 139 workplaces?an increase of 14 compared to the first half of the year. The community job program will select 22 people across 4 workplaces.
The public work program is divided into four categories: youth, general labor, career counselors, and senior citizens. Specifically, it will hire 56 youth, 198 general laborers, 10 career counselors, and 56 senior citizens, totaling 320 participants.
Job areas include environmental maintenance, national land park projects, and public office support. Based on the achievements of the first half of the year, the effectiveness of the program will be evaluated, and new projects reflecting citizen demand?such as "street tree cleaning and leaf collection"?will be added to improve the quality of public services. In addition, 56 positions are allocated to the senior citizen category, expanding social participation opportunities for the elderly.
The community job program will select 22 people across 4 workplaces, including support for multicultural families, eco-friendly ecosystem creation at Daunsan, garden-style park development, and river environment improvement within the Hoyagang River.
Eligibility requirements stipulate that, as of the announcement date (July 3, 2025), applicants must be residents registered in Yangsan City and, as of the program start date (August 25, 2025), must be citizens aged between 18 and 69 years with the ability to work. Applications must be submitted in person at the administrative welfare center corresponding to the applicant's address by July 18.
An official from Yangsan City stated, "The public work and community job programs are more than just jobs?they are an important safety net supporting citizens' lives. The city will do its utmost to ensure that more citizens can achieve economic stability and contribute to the community through these programs."
