Busan National University Track and Field Team Triumphs Again with Triple Gold at 4th National University Championships
Three Gold and Two Bronze Medals Achieved
National Representatives Hyunwoo Lee, Yongbae Park, and Jiwon Choi Win Gold
Busan National University (President: Jaeweon Choi) announced on July 4 that its track and field team won three gold medals at the 4th National University Track and Field Championships, which took place at Seocheon Sports Complex in Chungnam from June 29 to July 3.

View original imageHyunwoo Lee, a senior who has been selected as a national representative for the 2025 Summer Universiade to be held in Germany starting July 16, continued his streak of first-place finishes this year by winning the long jump event. Yongbae Park, also a senior, took first place in the high jump, achieving his third consecutive win in this year's competitions as well. Both athletes have consistently demonstrated strong performances.
The freshmen also made notable contributions. Jiwon Choi, a first-year student, claimed the gold medal in the 110m hurdles, marking his first championship title of the year. Siwon Lim and Changmin Jang, both freshmen, each secured third place in the 110m hurdles and long jump, respectively.
The Busan National University track and field team also delivered outstanding results at the 80th University Track and Field Championships and the 1st Korea University Track and Field Federation President's Cup National University Track and Field Championships, both held in April, with Hyunwoo Lee, Yongbae Park, and Chaeyoung Lim winning multiple gold medals.
