Paju City Signs MOU for Mobility Activation and Traffic Safety Enhancement
On July 3, the city of Paju signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for "Mobility Activation and Traffic Safety Enhancement" at the Paju City Hall reception room, attended by Kim Kyungil, mayor of Paju, and Chung Yongsik, chairman of the Korea Transportation Safety Authority.

View original imageThis agreement aims to prepare for the era of mobility and enhance citizens' traffic safety, in line with the changing transportation paradigm brought about by the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The agreement covers: ▲establishing and consulting on mobility improvement plans ▲supporting the introduction and demonstration of advanced mobility means and services ▲developing policies for creating a safe shared mobility environment ▲discovering and managing safety services for mobility-vulnerable groups (such as the elderly and people with disabilities) ▲collecting and sharing data on the status of advanced mobility ▲mutual cooperation and support for international exchanges ▲special safety inspections for Paju's student-only school circulation buses (hydrogen buses) ▲promoting on-site traffic safety education ▲conducting traffic safety publicity and campaigns.
Paju is currently formulating the "Paju City Mobility Improvement Plan" in accordance with the "Act on Support for Mobility Innovation and Activation." Through this MOU with the Korea Transportation Safety Authority, the city plans to jointly address local transportation issues by establishing data-driven, customized plans that reflect regional characteristics.
