YGPA Selects Integrity Catchphrase "Corruption Sinks, Integrity Sails"
'2025 Integrity Catchphrase Contest' Awards Ceremony Held on the 3rd
Fostering a Culture of Integrity Practice at YGPA and Its Subsidiaries
Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (YGPA, Acting President Hwang Hakbeom) announced on the 3rd that it held the awards ceremony for the '2025 Integrity Catchphrase Contest'.
This contest was organized to enhance the integrity awareness of YGPA and its subsidiaries' executives and employees, and to foster an ethical culture of voluntary practice. A total of 176 catchphrases were submitted, demonstrating the high level of interest and passion for integrity among the members.

View original imageThe first prize, which received the highest evaluation, went to Moon Jarang, Manager of the Marketing Department, for the entry "Corruption sinks, integrity sails." The catchphrase conveys the message that if corruption persists, the ship (organization) will be flooded and reach a dangerous situation, while integrity allows the ship (organization) to move forward. The message was praised for its clarity and symbolism.
The second prize was awarded to Lee Jooyoung, Manager of the Management Support Department, for "Corruption ebbs like the tide! Trust flows in like the tide!" The third prize went to Choi Minkyung, Deputy Manager of the Audit Office, for "When we work transparently, uncertain tomorrows disappear." The fourth prize was awarded to Kim Seungil, Deputy Manager of the Port Development Department, for "Overcoming the reefs of corruption, sailing toward the blue sea of integrity!" In the subsidiary category, Yu Jieun, Staff of Yeosu Expo Management Co., Ltd., received a special award for "Yesterday's conscience, today's integrity, tomorrow's trust."
Hwang Hakbeom, Acting President, stated, "This contest was an opportunity for the executives and employees of the authority and its subsidiaries to reflect on integrity together and express it creatively." He added, "We will continue to strengthen an organizational culture in which all employees practice the value of integrity in their daily lives."
The selected catchphrases will be widely used in various campaigns, as well as in the production of promotional materials and printed items for public outreach and integrity activities.
