Microplastic-Free, Sustainable Bottled Water
"I'm Eco" Receives International Recognition for Safety and Quality
The eco-friendly bottled water brand 'I'm Eco' from Sansu Beverage Co., Ltd. has received the 'Superior Taste Award' at the 2025 International Taste Institute (ITI) for its products 'Gomaun Saem' and 'Gabyeoun Saem'.
The International Taste Institute (ITI) is a globally recognized food and beverage quality evaluation organization headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, which has hosted this tasting event since 2005.
The 'Superior Taste Award' is a prestigious certification evaluated through blind tasting by a judging panel of the International Taste Institute (ITI), composed of culinary experts from around the world. The evaluation is conducted across five categories: taste, aroma, texture, visual aspect, and overall impression, with a comprehensive score given for each product.
'Gomaun Saem', which won the Superior Taste Award this year, was recognized for its use of 100% sugarcane-derived eco-friendly packaging and microplastic-free packaging, offering both safety and sustainability. In addition, the product received high marks for its clean taste and easy drinkability, thanks to a balanced mineral content including calcium, sodium, potassium, and magnesium.
Furthermore, the product was certified as non-detectable for microplastics based on the minimum detection standard (5μm) of domestic certification agencies, and also obtained a non-detection certification for nanoplastics down to 0.2μm from internationally accredited testing institutions, demonstrating its safety.
'Gabyeoun Saem', which was also awarded, is a soft water with a hardness of 36mg/L, and was highly rated for its smooth mouthfeel and rapid absorption by the body.
Sansu Beverage applies the E.C.O Safety Standard, a safety and quality assurance system, to all products it manufactures. The company conducts thorough and regular quality control through daily sensory, physicochemical, and process inspections; weekly microbiological tests; monthly water quality tests; quarterly microplastic tests; semiannual container hormone tests; and annual norovirus tests, in cooperation with reputable national certification bodies such as KOTITI.
