The signing ceremony was attended by Lotte Group Retail Division Vice Chairman Kim Sanghyun and Hana Bank President Lee Hosung. This agreement was initiated based on a shared understanding between the two companies to promote childbirth and support childcare, ahead of "World Population Day" on July 11.
Under the agreement, Lotte Shopping employees who are expecting a child or have preschool-aged children will receive preferential interest rates in addition to the base rate when subscribing to Hana Bank's savings products. In addition, credit loans will be offered at further reduced rates on top of the existing preferential rates provided to Lotte Group employees.
Meanwhile, Lotte Shopping already operates a range of support systems, including mandatory paternity leave, pre-fatherhood prenatal checkup leave, "Baby Wish" leave, caregiving leave, shortened and flexible working hours for pregnant employees, and support for daycare and children's tuition.
