KOSHA Conducts On-Site Heat Wave Safety Campaign for Partner Companies
Site Visit Activities at Korean Air Aerospace Division
On July 1, when a nationwide heat wave advisory was issued, the Busan Regional Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (headed by Jung Jongdeuk) visited external partner companies of the Korean Air Aerospace Division to conduct a heat illness prevention and win-win cooperation safety campaign.
This campaign was organized with the goal of preventing heat-related illnesses among workers and promoting a culture of safety through health protection. The Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency is working to raise the level of safety and health at small and medium-sized enterprises through win-win cooperation activities between large and small businesses, and is seeking to model and spread these best practices.
The campaign consisted of: ▲guidance on the five basic rules for preventing heat illness (water, shade, rest, cooling equipment, emergency measures); ▲distribution of heat illness prevention kits (cooling sleeves, sports towels, sanitary wet wipes, and cold packs); ▲a safety pledge event; and ▲on-site inspections.
