On July 1, marking the third anniversary of the 8th popularly elected administration, Suhee Lee, mayor of Gangdong District, began her day with "on-site communication." At 7 a.m. that day, Mayor Lee visited Seongnae Hani Park, where she greeted and engaged with over 40 participants of the Gangdong District Sports Plaza program and members of the local badminton club, communicating directly with residents.

View original imageResidents expressed their satisfaction with the changes, saying, "There was no public swimming pool in Cheonho-dong, but with the opening of Cheonho Eoullim Swimming Pool in March, we are happy to enjoy swimming at an affordable price," and "With more high-rise buildings, the neighborhood feels more vibrant."
Afterward, Mayor Lee set up a "coffee truck to encourage staff" in the district office parking lot and personally handed out coffee to employees as they arrived for work, expressing her appreciation for their efforts. Mayor Lee stated, "Thanks to the employees who have quietly worked hard in their respective roles, Gangdong District has been able to achieve new changes."
At 9 a.m., she presided over the regular expanded executive meeting to discuss district administration issues, and presented commendations to public officials selected in the policy idea proposal contest, encouraging creative and proactive administration.

Mayor Suhee Lee stated, "I am grateful to the residents for giving me the opportunity to serve, and over the past three years, Gangdong District has grown into a major city with a population of 500,000," adding, "I will not lose my original resolve and, together with the residents, will create a city where we can look forward to tomorrow."
