Sejong Technopark and Korea Industry-Academia-Research Association Sign MOU to Enhance Corporate Competitiveness
Sejong Technopark and the Korea Industry-Academia-Research Association signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on June 30 to strengthen the industry-academia-research cooperation capabilities of local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). With this agreement, the two organizations plan to work together to establish a practical industry-academia-research cooperation model aimed at enhancing the competitiveness and research and development capabilities of regional SMEs.
This agreement was promoted to expand the technological support and industry-academia-research cooperation base for SMEs in the Sejong region, and to contribute to building a sustainable local industrial ecosystem through the joint planning and operation of customized enterprise support programs.
Through the agreement, the two organizations agreed to cooperate in various areas, including: strengthening and collaborating on support systems for local SMEs; jointly planning and implementing industry-academia-research cooperation projects; providing solutions for technological challenges and offering professional consulting; operating joint education and seminar programs; and jointly discovering enterprise support projects.
Yang Hyunbong, President of Sejong Technopark, said, "We will further strengthen Sejong's innovation ecosystem by expanding field-oriented support for enterprises and fostering organic cooperation with professional industry-academia-research organizations."
Cho Donguk, President of the Korea Industry-Academia-Research Association, also stated, "Based on our accumulated network and cooperative foundation, the association will support a variety of programs to provide practical assistance to companies in the Sejong region for technological innovation and commercialization."
