Gwangju Bukgu to Hold Unity Event for Self-Sufficiency Program Participants
Gwangju Bukgu will hold the 'Self-Sufficiency Festival' at 10:00 a.m. on July 2 at the Bukgu Sports Complex to boost the morale of participants in self-sufficiency programs. The event is organized by three local self-sufficiency centers in Bukgu (Dongsin, Ilteo, and Heemang Self-Sufficiency Centers), and about 500 people working in self-sufficiency projects are expected to attend.
Held under the theme "Together Today! Valuable Tomorrow," the event will proceed in the order of a commemorative ceremony, recreational activities, and a session for unity. The commemorative ceremony will include a pre-event performance, a screening of a video about self-sufficiency projects, commendations for outstanding contributors, and a commemorative photo session. This will be followed by about an hour of recreational activities, lunch, and then a friendly sports competition, talent show, congratulatory performances, and a prize drawing.
Mayor Moon In of Bukgu said, "I hope this event will serve as an opportunity to share the value of local self-sufficiency projects and to explore a sustainable future for self-sufficiency."
