Geochang Deputy Governor Lee Byungcheol Honorably Concludes Public Service with Farewell Ceremony

Geochang County, South Gyeongsang Province, announced on the 1st that a farewell ceremony for Lee Byungcheol, the 33rd Deputy Governor, was held in the county office situation room with staff in attendance.
The ceremony marked both the completion of Lee's one year and six months of service in Geochang County and the beginning of his retirement preparation training, serving as both a farewell and retirement event. The ceremony was attended by his family. After the ceremony, all county office staff gathered in front of the building to warmly send off Deputy Governor Lee and offer their heartfelt congratulations.
Since his appointment in January 2024, Deputy Governor Lee Byungcheol has worked for balanced development across all aspects of county administration. In particular, he focused on proactively addressing local issues and strengthening the organization, and played a key role in smoothly coordinating cooperative projects with South Gyeongsang Province.

Upon his retirement, Deputy Governor Lee expressed his commitment to supporting future talent who will lead Geochang as a premier educational city by donating 1 million won in scholarship funds to the Geochang County Scholarship Foundation.
In his farewell address, Deputy Governor Lee said, "The time I spent in Geochang was the most meaningful of my public service career, and I was deeply impressed by the passionate and dedicated public officials of Geochang County who serve the residents with unwavering commitment." He added, "I sincerely hope that the era of 'Greater Geochang Leap, Resident Happiness' will be realized, and that Geochang will become an even better and happier city to live in."
County Governor Koo Inmo expressed his farewell, saying, "I deeply appreciate the Deputy Governor's dedication, which has been a great strength to the county administration through his outstanding insight and communicative leadership. I wish him continued health and happiness in all his future endeavors."
