Students from the Department of Emergency Medical Technology at Dongmyung University participated in the '2025 16th Busan Mayor's Cup International Surfing/SUP Competition' held at Songjeong Beach on June 28, providing medical support and volunteering for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) education.
On this day, the students, together with first-class emergency medical technicians, provided medical assistance to prepare for potential emergencies at the competition venue and operated a CPR education booth, allowing citizens to experience CPR firsthand. In particular, they focused on raising awareness about the importance of first aid among citizens and tourists visiting the beach, while offering practical hands-on opportunities.
Lee Suhyeon, a second-year student in the Department of Emergency Medical Technology, said, "I felt a great sense of fulfillment when I heard that citizens gained confidence after receiving CPR training," and added, "I want to continue to gain more on-site experience through various volunteer activities in the future."
