Police Reapply for Arrest Warrants for Hospital Director and Surgeon in '36-Week Fetus Abortion' Case
The police have reapplied for arrest warrants for the doctor and hospital director who performed an abortion on a fetus at 36 weeks of pregnancy.
The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 27th that it had reapplied for arrest warrants on the 19th for Director Yoon and Surgeon Shim, who are both suspected of murder.
They are accused of performing an abortion on a woman in her twenties, a YouTuber who sparked controversy by sharing her experience of having an abortion at 36 weeks of pregnancy, resulting in the death of the fetus.
The police had applied for arrest warrants for them in October last year, but the court dismissed the request, stating that 'a significant amount of evidence regarding the facts of the case had already been collected.'
