Maesan-dong "Moduda Eoullim Center" in Suwon to Be Completed on June 30
The Maesan-dong Urban Regeneration Project (Moduda Eoullim Center) in Suwon City, Gyeonggi Province, will be completed on June 30, 2025.
Maesan-dong is located at the heart of Suwon City's growth axis and serves as a key hub for transportation, economy, and commerce, with Suwon Station and the bus transfer center situated there.
However, large-scale development in the western area of Suwon Station led to a decline in the local commercial district. Additionally, issues such as aging buildings and insufficient infrastructure emerged simultaneously, continuously raising the need for urban regeneration.

The main initiatives include: ▲ Establishment of the Maesan-dong Eoullim Center ▲ Creation of a Youth Incubation Center ▲ Revitalization of alleyway commercial districts ▲ Construction of the Moduda Eoullim Center ▲ Implementation of a participatory platform project to promote alleyway culture ▲ Improvement of street environments around Suwon Station ▲ Creation of the Maesan-dong Eoullim Street.
Gyeonggi Province expects that the Maesan-dong urban regeneration project will strengthen public functions by creating community spaces for residents and urban regeneration hubs for youth entrepreneurship education, as well as improving the pedestrian environment in the target area's station market, Maesan Market, and themed streets. The local commercial district is also anticipated to regain its vitality.
