"Supplementary Budget Must Pass to Serve as a Catalyst for Economic Recovery"
On June 26, President Lee Jaemyung visited a local business district near the Yongsan presidential office and had lunch at a restaurant after delivering his first supplementary budget proposal address since taking office. This was the first time President Lee has dined at an external restaurant since his inauguration.
Accompanied only by minimal security personnel, including Deputy Spokespersons An Gwiryung and Jeon Eunsu, President Lee visited a nearby Daegutang (codfish soup) restaurant. After finishing his meal, President Lee shook hands and took photos with local merchants and residents on his way back to the presidential office. Some citizens held out his book, "Ultimately, the People Make It Happen," and asked for his autograph.
