Namwon to Open "Mulbanggae Water Park" Starting Next Month
Open Until August 31... Safety Personnel On Duty at All Times
The city of Namwon (Mayor Choi Kyungsik) announced on June 26 that it will open the "Mulbanggae Water Park" starting next month, in time for the peak summer heat and vacation season.
The Mulbanggae Water Park, which has been highly popular since 2018, attracts many visitors each year. In 2024, a total of 3,468 people visited, establishing it as a popular summer destination for water activities. The facility is located in front of Booyoung 5th Apartment in Dotong-dong.
The Mulbanggae Water Park is scheduled to operate from July 1 to August 31. It will run five sessions daily (10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m.), with each session allowing 50 minutes of water play followed by a 10-minute break.
The park will offer even more enjoyable and refreshing facilities, including a water play combination playground and decorative fountains.
A city official stated, "We will have safety personnel on duty at all times to ensure children's safety," and added, "Before opening the water park, we will focus on disinfection and cleaning to provide a cleaner environment for everyone."
Meanwhile, the city hopes that the opening of the Mulbanggae Water Park will provide citizens and visitors with a cool place to relax and help everyone in Namwon enjoy a pleasant summer.
