Kim Nokwon: "Developing AI That Delivers Real Value"
DeepX, a company specializing in ultra-low-power artificial intelligence (AI) semiconductors, has received an award in the MINDS (Meaningful, Intelligent, Novel, Deployable Solutions) program organized by the World Economic Forum (WEF).
On June 26, DeepX announced that it had been selected as the first cohort award-winning company in the World Economic Forum MINDS program. The MINDS program recognizes companies that have achieved tangible innovation and social impact based on their AI technology strategies. While governments and companies are making massive investments in the AI industry, there are still various challenges to translating these investments into real-world results. For this reason, the program focuses on stories that go beyond technological capabilities.

This solution delivers outstanding AI computing performance with less than 5W of power consumption, compared to high-performance graphics processing units (GPUs). It is recognized for simultaneously achieving power efficiency, cost reduction, and on-site optimization, demonstrating how AI technology can transform business structures.
This year, leading global innovators such as DeepX, Foxconn, CATL, Schneider Electric, and Siemens were named as awardees in the MINDS program. The World Economic Forum expects these companies to contribute over the next two years to setting and implementing global agendas in areas such as sustainable supply chains, future infrastructure, digital health, and AI governance.
Kim Nokwon, CEO of DeepX, stated, "The world has recognized the effectiveness and potential social contribution of DeepX's technology," adding, "We will continue to deliver real value to humanity through AI that works in the field."
