BTS Jhope Sets New Record for Korean Solo Artists on US Billboard
Jhope achieves highest Hot 100 entry as a Korean solo artist
'Killin It Girl' marks eighth solo entry on Billboard chart
BTS member Jhope has set a new record for the most entries by a Korean solo artist on the US Billboard charts.
According to his agency BigHit Music on June 25, Jhope's new song 'Killin It Girl' debuted at No. 40 on the latest Billboard main singles chart, the 'Hot 100' (dated June 28).
This marks Jhope's eighth solo entry on the 'Hot 100', the highest number ever for a Korean solo artist. He also achieved his personal best ranking on the 'Hot 100', surpassing his previous peak of No. 60 with 'on the street' released in 2023.
This year, all three of Jhope's solo singles have entered the 'Hot 100'. 'Sweet Dreams' reached No. 66, 'MONA LISA' ranked No. 65, and 'Killin It Girl' achieved the highest position among them.
'Killin It Girl' also performed strongly on other charts. It ranked No. 2 on the 'Global (Excl. US)' chart and No. 3 on the 'Global 200' chart. This is the first time a Jhope solo song has entered the Top 5 on both charts. On the 'Digital Song Sales' chart, it secured the No. 1 spot. Additionally, 'MONA LISA' re-entered the 'Global (Excl. US)' chart at No. 150.
