Nam Dongyoung said, "I was concerned that scholarship donations might decrease due to the wildfire, which could worsen the educational environment for younger students from my hometown. That is why I decided to make this donation. I hope it will provide a small ray of hope for my juniors back home."
Yoon Kyunghui, Chairman of the Cheongsong County Talent Development Scholarship Foundation (and Governor of Cheongsong County), expressed gratitude, saying, "Even though he himself suffered great losses from the wildfire, I am thankful for his care and affection for the younger generation from his hometown."
