In particular, Dongmyung University plans to establish an Open UIC (University-Industry Collaboration) system centered on Busan's strategic industries: future mobility, digital technology, and lifestyle (beauty and companion animals). The university intends to present an innovative collaboration model that organically connects industry sites with education.
The launch ceremony was attended by President Lee Sangcheon, officials from Busan Metropolitan City, Busan RISE Innovation Institute, Busan United Technology Holdings, and over 100 faculty and staff members. Together, they reaffirmed their commitment to building a university support system centered on regional innovation (RISE).
In his welcoming speech, President Lee Sangcheon emphasized, "Dongmyung University, under the founding philosophy of practical learning, pursues the vision of becoming a global innovative university that revitalizes the region through the power of the university. We will create regional innovation together with the local community, the university, and the industry."
