Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office to Present Awards to June Exemplary Veterans and Distinguished Contributors
The Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs (Director Namil Lee) will hold an awards ceremony to honor exemplary veterans and individuals with distinguished external contributions on June 27 at 2:00 p.m. in the auditorium on the 7th floor of the Busan Veterans Hall, marking the conclusion of June, the Month of Patriots and Veterans.
Approximately 130 people, including the Director of the Veterans Affairs Office, heads of veterans' organizations, veterans, award recipients, and their families, are expected to attend the event. The ceremony will proceed in the following order: national ceremony, award presentation, congratulatory remarks, and commemorative photography.
This year, a total of 16 individuals, including Kim Ansik, recipient of the 4·19 Democratic Revolution Award, will receive the Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs Award in the exemplary veterans category. In addition, one person will receive the Minister of Justice Award, one will receive the Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Award, and nine will receive the Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office Director's Award, for a total of 27 honorees.
For their contributions to the promotion of veterans culture, Busan Gyeongnam Milk Cooperative, Samjin Foods, and Korea Electric Power Corporation Busan Ulsan Headquarters will receive a plaque of appreciation from the Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs.
