Busan Gijang County Completes Renovation of Ilgwang 'Sinpyeongso Park'... Transformed into a Local Landmark
Gijang County in Busan has successfully completed the renovation project for Sinpyeongso Park in Ilgwang-eup.
This project was carried out to improve the park's landscape and prevent safety accidents by refurbishing aging facilities within the park. It was conducted over approximately seven months, beginning in November of last year.
Facilities such as the ship sculpture, deck, and railings, which had been in use for over 13 years, were completely replaced. In addition, landscape lighting and rest facilities were enhanced, transforming the park into a more pleasant and safer place for relaxation.
Sinpyeongso Park is adjacent to the Ilgwang coastline and is a popular spot not only for local residents but also for visitors. With this renovation, the park is expected to further highlight its value as a sunrise viewing destination, especially with the addition of the 'Jeongdong Sunrise Line' marker.
County Governor Jeong Jongbok stated, "Through this renovation, Sinpyeongso Park has been reborn as a safe and beautiful park in harmony with the natural environment," and added, "We will do our utmost to systematically manage the park's facilities so that it can become a landmark representing Gijang."
