The forum, held under the theme of 'Life and Vision in Old Age,' was hosted by Seoul Senior Tower. Numerous domestic and international experts in health and welfare, medical care, caregiving, and housing participated to discuss welfare policies for an aging society and directions for industrial development.
Chosun University and Seoul Senior Tower signed an 'Innovation, Sharing, and Mutual Growth Business Agreement for Leading the Healthy Life Span Industry' in February. Since then, they have been actively pursuing joint projects for the following: cooperation in lifelong health promotion and social contribution, collaboration linked to the Glocal University 30 and RISE projects, and the creation of locally based age-friendly jobs.
President Kim Chunseong stated, "Chosun University is promoting convergence research and practical projects in various fields such as age-friendly healthcare, housing, caregiving, and culture, with well-aging as a core strategy," adding, "We will continue joint efforts with local communities, the nation, and various institutions to realize a healthy aging society."
Lee Jonggyun, chairman of Seoul Senior Tower, said, "Aging is a future we will all face, and it is an important time to redefine our way of life and social structure," and added, "This forum provided a valuable opportunity to shed new light on old age and for domestic and international experts to seek future-oriented solutions together."
Meanwhile, Chosun University has been selected as a '2025 Glocal University Preliminary Designated' university by the Ministry of Education. The university is accelerating evidence-based educational innovation and regional collaboration, focusing on three specialized fields to respond to a super-aged society: Bio-Medi (healthy life), Age-Tech (convenient life), and Life-Care (happy life).
