Fordo Nuclear Facility in Iran Attacked Again... Israeli Airstrike
AFP reported on the 23rd (local time), citing Iran's Tasnim News Agency, that Israel attacked the Fordo nuclear facility located in Qom Province, central Iran.
Tasnim, quoting an Iranian official, stated, "The aggressor has attacked the Fordo nuclear facility again."

In the early morning of the previous day, the United States attacked the Fordo nuclear facility using six B-2 bombers and a total of twelve GBU-57 bombs, commonly known as "bunker busters."
On this day, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated on the social networking service X (formerly Twitter), "Under the direction of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and myself, the military is attacking regime institutions in the heart of Tehran with unprecedented force."

According to the Israeli Ministry of Defense, the targets of this airstrike included the headquarters of the Basij militia, a paramilitary group linked to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC); Evin Prison, which houses political prisoners; a clock tower in Palestine Square built in 2017 that is said to mark the time remaining until the "destruction of Israel in 2040"; and the IRGC security organization. The Israeli Ministry of Defense stated, "The Iranian dictator will face comprehensive retaliation for attacking the Israeli mainland."
