Through this agreement, the two organizations have decided to provide preferential selection benefits, such as additional points during the selection process, to young people from socially disadvantaged groups, including low-income youth, when they participate in overseas volunteer activities. To this end, they plan to jointly discover youth from socially disadvantaged backgrounds, support the selection process, and manage follow-up activities. In particular, they intend to offer systematic promotion and counseling services through more than 400 social welfare centers nationwide to help more young people access overseas volunteer opportunities.
Kim Hyekyung, Chairperson of Global Sharing Movement, stated, "By expanding opportunities for young people from diverse backgrounds to participate in the field of international development cooperation, we are able to build a more inclusive and diversified pool of talent for international development cooperation."
