BNK Kyongnam Bank Operates "Heat Relief Shelters" at All Branches ... Free Fans Provided
Established to Protect the Health of Local Residents and Customers
BNK Kyongnam Bank has once again transformed its branches into comfortable shelters to help people cope with the heat and sweltering summer temperatures this year.
On June 23, BNK Kyongnam Bank announced that, ahead of the peak summer heat, it is operating all of its branches as "Heat Relief Shelters."
The Heat Relief Shelters have been set up to protect the health of local residents and customers from extreme heat and heatwaves. BNK Kyongnam Bank has carried out this initiative every year as part of its social contribution activities.
The bank will also offer free fans to local residents and customers visiting its branches. These fans will feature messages supporting Gyeongsangnam-do, the global aerospace capital, and Ulsan Metropolitan City, which will host the 2028 Ulsan International Garden Expo.
Additionally, the bank has installed signs at all branches to inform people about the Heat Relief Shelters and has created comfortable rest areas with air conditioning running continuously.
The Heat Relief Shelters are open during regular banking hours, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on weekdays.
Choi Daesik, Head of the Social Contribution and Public Relations Department, said, "We are operating the Heat Relief Shelters so that local residents and customers can rest comfortably at BNK Kyongnam Bank branches, regardless of whether they have banking business. In particular, we hope that local residents who work outdoors, as well as seniors, can escape the sweltering heat and take a break, even if only for a short while. Going forward, BNK Kyongnam Bank will continue to pursue a variety of social contribution activities for the benefit of the local community."
