Experience the T-50 and FA-50... Air Force Recruiting 10th Class of Citizen Pilots
Final Four Selected Through Document Screening, Interviews, and Training
The Air Force announced on June 23 that it will be recruiting the 10th class of Citizen Pilots from July 7 to July 20.
The Citizen Pilot program is designed to introduce the Air Force's missions to the public and to promote the excellence of domestically produced aircraft operated by the Air Force. Selected Citizen Pilots will have the opportunity to experience flight in the rear seat of a T-50 or FA-50 aircraft.
This year, four Citizen Pilots will be selected. Any South Korean citizen who is at least 18 years old as of September 24 is eligible to apply. Applicants must complete the required documents as instructed in the notices on the Republic of Korea Air Force website and submit them online or via mobile.
The selection process for Citizen Pilots consists of: ▲the first round of document screening (August), ▲the second round of interviews (September), and ▲the third round of flight environment adaptation training (September). Those who pass the second round will undergo basic theoretical education, G-force tolerance training (G-TEST), and emergency egress training at the Air Force Aerospace Medical Center. Based on the evaluation results, four individuals will be finally selected.
