Come Visit the 'Hydrangea Theme Garden' in the City Center... Daegu Seo-gu Invests 300 Million Won
Seo-gu District Office in Daegu (headed by Ryu Hankook) announced on the 23rd that it has completed the creation of the 'Hydrangea Theme Garden' within the Greenway Maple Garden in Ihyeon-dong, Seo-gu, with an investment of 300 million won in special grants. The new garden is expected to become a unique and distinctive green space in the heart of the city.
This project was planned to achieve a balanced use of space within the Greenway and to reflect the diverse preferences of residents, considering that various attractions such as the Rose Garden are concentrated toward the Queen's Road direction.
The Hydrangea Theme Garden is intended to provide a relaxing urban space for residents who have newly settled in the area through the Pyeongni Redevelopment Promotion Project. The garden features hydrangeas in a variety of colors, including red, pink, blue, and purple, as well as a diverse range of varieties, offering citizens a beautiful and vibrant landscape to enjoy.
A resident who visited the Hydrangea Theme Garden said, "While hydrangea festivals are currently being held in other regions, I am very happy that I can enjoy and relax among abundant hydrangeas right here in the city without having to travel to the outskirts. I hope more spaces like this will be created."
This year, through a resident proposal project, Seo-gu District Office in Daegu also improved and supplemented the hydrangea planting area near Manpyeong Intersection, enhancing the landscape at the gateway to Seo-gu from the very entrance to the district.
Ryu Hankook, head of Seo-gu District Office in Daegu, stated, "I hope families, friends, and couples will visit the Hydrangea Theme Garden in the Greenway Maple Garden and fully enjoy the summer atmosphere in the city. I expect this theme garden to become a beloved new attraction for citizens."
