Offering Career Information for Aspiring Journalists
The Korean Women Journalists Association, with support from the Korea Press Foundation, will hold the '2025 Path to Becoming a Journalist' workshop at 2:00 p.m. on June 26, 2025, at the International Conference Hall on the 20th floor of the Korea Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul.
The first part of the event, designed for those aspiring to work in the media, will feature lectures under the theme 'The Talent We Seek.' Lee Seunghun, Editor-in-Chief of Dong-A Ilbo, and Jung Inseong, Head of the News Division at KBS, will each discuss the qualities media companies are looking for and the nature of the journalist profession.
In the second part, titled 'How I Prepared,' journalists Kim Minjun (SBS), Yoo Seohyun (YTN), Lee Changyu (JoongAng Ilbo), Jang Hyeoneun (Hankyoreh), Choi Yunseon (Yonhap News), and Choi Haeryeon (Korea Economic Daily) will share vivid accounts of their experiences during the recruitment process.
