"Gyeonggi Revitalization Big Sale" Kicks Off on 21st... Kim Dongyeon Says "Hope to Ease Price Concerns"
The "2025 Gyeonggi Revitalization Big Sale," a consumer promotion event involving over 400 traditional markets and local commercial districts in the Gyeonggi region, kicked off its nine-day run with an opening ceremony at Osan Osaek Market on the 21st.
During his opening remarks, Gyeonggi Province Governor Dongyeon Kim stated, "Gyeonggi Province has made bold preparations by increasing the budget from 4 billion won last year to 10 billion won this year, a 2.5-fold increase. In addition, the number of participating markets has more than doubled, so now over 400 traditional markets and local commercial districts in Gyeonggi Province can all benefit from this event."
He added, "I hope that this Big Sale will revitalize the markets, boost business, and help revive local commercial districts. With discounts and cashback offers of up to 20 percent available, I hope residents will be less worried about rising grocery prices."
