Russia Launches Drone Attack on Odesa, Ukraine
According to major foreign media reports on June 20, Russia carried out an airstrike on the southern Ukrainian port city of Odesa, resulting in one death and injuring more than ten people.
Ukrainian police confirmed that, during the night of June 19 to 20, one person was killed and thirteen were injured in the Russian airstrike. Three rescue workers were also injured.
Oleh Kiper, the governor of Odesa, stated that residential buildings, higher education institutions, civilian infrastructure, gas pipelines, and private vehicles were damaged in the airstrike. He posted photos showing flames rising from houses and apartments blackened by smoke. Power lines and railway tracks near Odesa train station were also damaged.
Ukrainian rescue authorities released a photo of firefighters rescuing a woman from a window of a house engulfed in flames.

Russia launched 86 drones across Ukraine, of which 70 failed to penetrate Ukraine's air defense network. As direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine have failed to find a breakthrough, airstrikes from both sides continue without interruption.
