NH Nonghyup Bank to Temporarily Restrict Mortgage Refinancing Starting June 24
As Part of Measures to Control the Total Volume of Household Loans
NH Nonghyup Bank is set to further tighten its requirements for household loans.
According to the financial sector on June 20, NH Nonghyup Bank will temporarily restrict both in-person and online mortgage refinancing from other banks starting June 24.
This measure is intended to control the total volume of household loans by blocking the inflow of mortgage loans from other banks to NH Nonghyup Bank.
A bank official explained, "The purpose is to operate lending with a focus on actual demand."

Previously, NH Nonghyup Bank temporarily restricted in-person jeonse loan refinancing from other banks starting June 2. Beginning June 9, the bank also temporarily restricted home purchase loans for homeowners in the Seoul metropolitan area.
