President Lee Approves Appointment of Six Special Assistant Prosecutors for '12·3 Insurrection' Case, Expects Fair Investigation
The Office of the President announced on June 20 that President Lee Jaemyung had approved the appointment of six special assistant prosecutors on June 19 to investigate the insurrection case related to the 12·3 Martial Law.
With this, all special assistant prosecutors for the special prosecutor team led by Cho Eunseok, which is handling the insurrection case related to former President Yoon Sukyeol and the 12·3 Martial Law, have been finalized.
The newly appointed special assistant prosecutors are Park Eoksu, attorney at Igong Law Firm; Park Jiyoung, attorney at Bae, Kim & Lee LLC; Lee Yoonje, professor at Myongji University; Kim Hyungsu, attorney at Namsan Law Firm; Park Taeho, attorney at Kim & Chang; and Jang Woosung, attorney at Bae, Kim & Lee LLC. Park Jiyoung will be in charge of public relations.

Kang Yujeong, spokesperson for the Office of the President, stated, "With this, the special prosecutor for the insurrection case, which began its investigation on June 18, has established its basic structure and is expected to accelerate the investigation in earnest." She added, "We hope that the investigation will proceed swiftly and fairly, in line with the public's desire for a thorough uncovering of the truth."
