Busan Gijang County Opens First 'Community Child Care Sharing Center'... Cooperative Parenting Begins in Earnest
Gijang County in Busan has opened its first community child care sharing center (Shinhan Dream Dodam Center No. 213) and has begun full-scale operations. On June 20, the county held an opening ceremony at the center, which is located in the community facilities of Wave Breeze Apartment in Gijang-eup.
This community child care sharing center was established after Gijang County was selected for the 'Community Child Care Sharing Center Installation Support Project,' a public contest jointly organized by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and Shinhan Financial Group. Shinhan Financial Group provided support worth 84 million won for space remodeling and the purchase of equipment.
The facility offers a safe play area for child care, as well as programs and customized educational materials tailored to different developmental stages, in which both guardians and children can participate together.
The center is available to families residing in Gijang County with infants, toddlers, or elementary school children. It also enables parents to share child care information and participate in cooperative child care activities.
