Kim Dongyeon Meets Outgoing Singaporean Ambassador to Korea, Expresses Gratitude for Expanding Regional Relations
On the 19th, Kim Dongyeon, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, received a courtesy visit from Eric Teo, Ambassador of Singapore to Korea, who is about to complete his term. Kim expressed his gratitude for their cooperation and for expanding exchanges between Gyeonggi Province and Singapore.
Governor Kim told Ambassador Teo, "Thanks to your support and collaboration, the relationship between Gyeonggi Province and Singapore has become truly strong, and cooperation has deepened in every area. Although you are leaving Korea, I hope you will continue to play a positive role in the relationship between Gyeonggi Province and Singapore, as well as between Korea and Singapore, in your new post."

I will continue to support the relationship between Korea and Singapore as we mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties this year."
Ambassador Teo also extended another invitation to Governor Kim to participate in the Nathan Fellowship. The Nathan Fellowship is a program in which the Singaporean government invites high-level foreign officials to share insights.

Eric Teo, who began his tenure in August 2019 and is recorded as the longest-serving Singaporean ambassador to Korea, previously served as Director-General of Northeast Asia at Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has worked at diplomatic missions in China and Japan, making him an expert in Northeast Asian diplomacy. Ambassador Teo's visit to Gyeonggi Province was his fourth, following previous visits in August 2020, February 2024, and November 2024.
