Jeonnam Council Chairman Kim Taekyun: "I Will Listen to the Voices of Daycare Centers"
Kim Taekyun, Chairman of the Jeonnam Provincial Council, attended the '2025 Jeonnam Daycare Center Directors Workshop' held at the Grand Performance Hall of Gangjin Art Hall in Gangjin-gun on June 19 to listen to voices from the childcare field.
Approximately 500 people attended the workshop, including Kim Daejung, Superintendent of Jeonnam Office of Education, Myung Changhwan, Vice Governor for Administrative Affairs of Jeonnam Province, and daycare center directors. The event featured commendations for distinguished contributors, video screenings, commemorative photos, and a special lecture on the integration of early childhood education and care.

View original imageIn his congratulatory remarks, Chairman Kim stated, "The childcare field has been undergoing rapid changes recently, and if we do not respond proactively, we may face difficult situations." He added, "Daycare centers in the 22 cities and counties are being operated with great effort by many people, but I urge you never to lose courage and to stay strong."
He continued, "The responsibility of caring for children, who represent the future of Korea, rests in your hands," and emphasized, "The Jeonnam Provincial Council will do its utmost through active legislative efforts to improve the poor working conditions of frontline childcare teachers."
