The 18th Joint Memorial Arts Festival for Independence Patriots Concludes on the 80th Anniversary of Liberation
Hosted by the Memorial Project Association for Independence Patriots of the Republic of Korea
The Busan Regional Office of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs (Director Namil Lee) announced that it held the "18th Joint Memorial Arts Festival for Independence Patriots of the Republic of Korea" on the 17th at the Dongnae Culture Center Grand Theater in Busan.
This event was organized by the Memorial Project Association for Independence Patriots of the Republic of Korea. It was prepared to honor the patriotic spirit of independence patriots and national martyrs who devoted themselves to the country's independence during the Japanese colonial period.
About 200 people attended the event, which consisted of Part 1: a commemorative ceremony, and Part 2: a concert. Attendees included the Director of the Busan Metropolitan Government's Administration and Autonomy Bureau, city council members, the Dongnae District Mayor, and members of the National Assembly. The participants paid silent tribute and took time to honor the intentions of the forebears through art.
An official from the Busan Regional Office of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs stated, "This year marks the meaningful 80th anniversary of Liberation, and it has become an opportunity to reflect on the noble intentions of the national martyrs who devoted themselves to the future of the country during its darkest times." The official added, "We hope that through this arts festival, all citizens will inherit the spirit of patriotism and that it will serve as a starting point for opening a new future."
