View original imageOn June 19, the city of Asan in South Chungcheong Province announced that it has appointed singer Kim Bokyung and influencer Kim Yeonkung (Kim Doyeon) as its public relations ambassadors.
Kim Bokyung, who is from Yonghwa-dong in Asan, has been recognized for her talent by winning the Superstar K2 Hot Issue Award and the final victory on Immortal Songs. In particular, she has demonstrated strong affection for her hometown by performing there three times this year alone.
Kim Yeonkung, who resides in Baebang-eup, operates a YouTube channel with approximately 228,000 subscribers. She has received enthusiastic responses from viewers by capturing the daily life of Asan in an honest and cheerful manner through her videos.
Their first assignment was to produce a YouTube Shorts video promoting Asan Pay, the local currency. Over the next two years, they plan to engage in a variety of activities to promote the city's major policies and events.
Mayor Oh Sehyun said, "I thought both of them were the right people to help create 'Asan on the Move Again, Happier Citizens' together, thanks to their bright and positive images," adding, "I am grateful that they gladly accepted the offer to become public relations ambassadors."
