Through this agreement, the introduction of a remote patient monitoring system in Cambodia, where there is a shortage of medical professionals and infrastructure, is expected to contribute to improving the working environment for medical staff, enhancing patients' access to medical care, and increasing patient survival rates through early disease detection.
Since 2018, Dong-A ST has contributed to improving the local healthcare environment in Cambodia by donating prescription drugs. In particular, since last year, the company has expanded its global social responsibility activities by donating HiCardi to MCM General Hospital in Ethiopia.
Dong-A ST plans to support Hebron Medical Center for five years with real-time remote patient monitoring platforms such as HiCardi Plus and Live Studio, amounting to approximately 100 million KRW, and will visit annually to provide training for local medical staff. In addition, Dong-A ST's Cambodian distributor will also participate in this donation, providing Can Bacchus and Orate beverages every year.
Hebron Medical Center began as a free clinic founded by Medical Director Woojung Kim in 2007 and has now become a nonprofit hospital treating about 90,000 low-income patients annually. In addition to medical services, the center continues to engage in various social contribution activities, such as supporting pharmaceuticals and medical devices through the association With Hebron, inviting patients to Korea for treatment, nurturing talent, and improving local public health.
