On June 17, Baek Younghyun, mayor of Pocheon, visited Hana Food Co., Ltd. and Korea Hwaseong Industry, both located in Seondan-dong, to listen directly to the voices of the companies on site and to continue communication-focused business administration.

View original imageThe site visit was attended by Mayor Baek, the Director of Economic and Environmental Affairs, the Head of Corporate Support, the Chief of the Seondan-dong General Affairs Team, the Head of the Industry Team, Lee Chunmuk, Head of Donggyo 1 District, as well as company representatives including Lee Jongwoo, CEO of Hana Food Co., Ltd., Son Sangwon, Deputy General Manager, Choi Jaewon, CEO of Korea Hwaseong Industry, and Kim Jeongjong, Director.
Hana Food Co., Ltd. is a company that processes and packages chicken parts. After its establishment in 2007, the company relocated its factory to Pocheon in 2015 and currently operates its subsidiaries, Hana FD Co., Ltd. Plant 1 and Plant 2, in Chuncheon. CEO Lee Jongwoo requested support from the city, stating, "The cost burden of operating our own wastewater treatment facility is significant."
Korea Hwaseong Industry develops and produces eco-friendly functional fertilizers and disinfectants and is recognized as an excellent company for exporting to India. CEO Choi Jaewon explained, "Silicate fertilizer is effective in reducing diseases and pests in fruit crops such as grapes. I hope it will be distributed to farms in Pocheon," and expressed his gratitude by adding, "The issue of illegal parking near our company was also resolved thanks to the prompt action by Pocheon City."
