Under this agreement, the two companies plan to introduce a next-generation power model for AI data centers by combining high-efficiency, low-power AI semiconductors with vanadium ion battery (VIB)-based ESS. Vanadium ion batteries are characterized by the absence of fire risk and the ability to operate at high output.
The two companies plan to jointly develop a new AI power infrastructure system that integrates Rebellion's ATOM chip-equipped Neural Processing Unit (NPU) AI server rack with Standard Energy's vanadium ion battery ESS.
