Gyeongnam Delegation Visits Danish Next-Generation Reactor Developer ... "Gyeongnam to Become a Global SMR Manufacturing Cluster"
Park Wansu: "Active Support if SaltFoss Establishes a Center in Gyeongnam"
The Gyeongnam delegation, led by Governor Park Wansu, visited SaltFoss Energy (formerly Seaborg) in Denmark at 2:00 p.m. local time on June 16.
SaltFoss Energy is a next-generation Danish nuclear reactor specialist company that is currently developing a floating marine Molten Salt Reactor (MSR).
The company is collaborating with domestic organizations and companies such as Samsung Heavy Industries, the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute, and Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power.

He further emphasized, "If SaltFoss establishes an engineering center or research and development (R&D) center in Gyeongnam, the provincial government will provide active support."
In response, Klaus Nyengaard, CEO of SaltFoss, said, "We have been very interested in the excellent manufacturing technology of Gyeongnam's nuclear power companies and have maintained continuous exchanges with Gyeongnam Province," adding, "We are positively considering establishing a local center in Gyeongnam to cooperate with Korean manufacturing companies."
Accompanying the visit were representatives from Gyeongnam nuclear power companies expected to collaborate with SaltFoss, as well as officials from the Korea Atomic Industrial Forum, who introduced their manufacturing component technologies and competitiveness and built local networks.
