Siheung City to Operate Direct Agricultural Market 'Nongbu Market' at Lotus Theme Park Starting June 28
18 Farms and Businesses to Participate
12 Events to Be Held on Saturdays and Sundays
Siheung City in Gyeonggi Province will operate the 'Nongbu Market' at the lawn plaza of the Lotus Theme Park starting on June 28 to promote local agricultural product consumption and expand sales channels for local farmers.
The Nongbu Market will be held a total of 12 times, every Saturday and Sunday until August 3. Eighteen farms and businesses from within the city, selected through a public application process and on-site screening, will participate to sell agricultural products they have grown themselves, processed goods made from these products, and foods prepared with local ingredients.
On the opening day, June 28, from 10 a.m., the first 100 participants in a market usage survey will each receive a small package (500g) of 'Haetomi' rice.
